A little bit of history….
Jim has been a professional musician for nearly 30 years and has seen a few things. Wonderful things.
Starting to play at the tender age of 9 Jim then went to Chethams School of Music at 16, then on to Berklee in Boston, USA, before swelling the ranks of the Royal Academy of Music, finally graduating in 1997 with a 1st in performance.
Sessions and touring then took up a lot of Jim’s time ranging from solo work with Michael Kamen to dance music sessions including one of the biggest saxophone house tunes of all time-Mark Knight/Funkagenda’s “Man With The Red Face”
In demand as a go to soloist especially in the world of Pop/Dance and Commercial music since the late 90’s it’s highly likely you’ve already heard Jim, either on an advert for Pandora or a screaming horn section for Hannah Waddingham. The list goes on.
Jim is also a visiting Professor at Guildhall School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music
Known for a real attention to detail and always, always serving the song.
